Do I need to make a booking in order to take the bus?
No, this is a public bus route service, and no booking is needed to board. Please ensure you arrive at your chosen pick up point prior to the scheduled departure time and hail the driver to board. Payment can then be made on board, please see our ticketing page for all payment options.
Can I bring luggage on the bus?
Please be aware that LinkSA buses have the capacity to store luggage however we cannot guarantee that we are able to take all passenger luggage. It is the passenger’s full responsibility for their luggage and LinkSA will not be responsible for any lost or damaged property on the bus. No bulky items/luggage will be permitted. Bikes are not permitted on LinkSA buses.
Am I able to cancel or change my booking?
We allow cancellations or amendments to bookings only if the original ticket purchased has not been used.
Each ticket purchased includes a non-refundable transaction fee.

The SeaLink Ferry has been delayed and I will miss the bus from the Terminal, who do I contact?
Please speak to the Ferry/SeaLink staff if the ferry has been delayed. SeaLink will contact LinkSA in these instances to discuss what will happen.
Do you operate on public holidays?
Yes, please see the timetable on our Bus Route page for public holiday route times. We do not operate on Christmas Day.
Am I able to bring my pet on board the LinkSA bus?
Approved Assistance animals are legally permitted to travel on board. Your assistance animal must meet hygiene standards and behave in a safe and appropriate way for public transport. When travelling on a LinkSA bus, assistance animal owners and trainers must carry a prescribed accreditation for the animal.
Am I able to bring my bike on board the LinkSA bus?
Bikes are not permitted on LinkSA buses.
I have booked a package with SeaLink that included travel on the LinkSA bus route, who do I contact if I need to cancel/change my booking?
If you have made a booking with SeaLink, please contact SeaLink for any cancellations or changes.
The date I wish to travel is fully booked, does this mean I am not able to catch this bus?
If the date you wish to travel is fully booked online, please call our Goolwa office on 08 8555 2500.
Why does the LinkSA website have no information on the SeaLink Ferry to Kangaroo Island?
Route 1259 from Adelaide to Cape Jervis is operated by LinkSA and operates as a public route service. LinkSA is not associated with SeaLink. Please contact SeaLink or visit their website for more information about the services they operate.
What type of ticket do I need to purchase?
We have multiple types of fares for our route service; Adults, Concessions, Students, Child and Seniors.
If you do not have Concession/Senior or Student card, you will be charged a normal Adult fare.
Please note persons requiring Concession/Senior Fares must produce an appropriate entitlement card. Full Time Students requiring Student Fares must provide DIT approved Student Identification Cards.
Children aged between 5 to 14 years old will require a Child Fare.
Children younger than 5 years old travel free. There will be a free ticket option in the booking pages so if your child ages 5 and under will be travelling with you on the bus, that this is selected. This will ensure seats are allocated if needed.
Is the Route 1259 bus service wheelchair accessible?
Yes. Any passenger requiring special assistance with their wheelchair will need to indicate this at the time of booking.
